Membership in Coastal Voices
Regular Membership
- Any woman over 18 may be considered for full membership with Coastal Voices and Harmony, Inc.
- Women under 18 will be considered if a Coastal Voices Member sponsors them.
Distance Membership
Requirements for Distance Membership:
- Eligibility is at the discretion of the Directors and Music Team.
- Auditions are required and can be held in person or by Zoom.
- Attendance is expected by Zoom unless there is a reason to miss (illness, etc.).
- Members attend all Saturday rehearsals/coachings and one Thursday rehearsal before each contest (before AC&C, before IC&C).
Social Membership
Coastal Voices Chorus offers Social Memberships to keep much-appreciated friends and supporters connected without the responsibilities of Regular Membership.
A Person may become a Social Member at any time with the payment of a non-refundable fee of $20 a year and may renew each year on April 1st.

A Social Member:

May attend any regular rehearsal or function but may not sing with the Chorus except by special approval of the Director

Shall receive a complimentary ticket to Coastal Voices Chorus shows

May receive email bulletins upon request

May participate in any committee except the Nominating Committee and may not serve as chairperson of any committee

May not serve on the Board of Directors and is not entitled to vote

Is not subject to attendance requirements as stated in the Member Handbook

May not personally benefit from any financial reward programs such as RaiseRight or assistance programs such as the Angel Fund

May apply at any time for a Regular Membership by fulfilling the requirements as stated in the Member Handbook

Is not included in the Membership count used to determine the size of the Board

May use a guestbook of music during rehearsals but may not have access to the Coastal Voices Chorus “Members Only” section of the website

Is not entitled to Chorus-owned costumes

Is not a member of our “parent organization,” Harmony Inc, but may affiliate separately as an Associate Member of Harmony Inc. by paying the required dues directly to Harmony Inc.
